It was only time before the inevitable happened. Samiksha Jug has finally quit Zaara. Replacing her is Sonia Kapoor who initially won’t be coming in as Zaara.

When contacted, Samiksha Jug said, “It’s true that I’m quitting Zaara. I’m currently shooting and will let you know more on this later.” Sonia too confirmed on her joining the show but couldn’t speak much on it as she too was preoccupied with her shoot.

Surprisingly, when we called producer Binaifer Kohli, she was humming a different tune. “Nothing is clear as yet. It will take us another week, before we can talk about it.”

A reliable source informs, “Samiksha is finally quitting the show. She’s bagged a south Indian film and thus she couldn’t devote enough dates for Zaara. She had to make a call and so she opted for her film. Zaara dies in an accident”

With Samiksha going, will Sonia step into Zaara’s shoes? Our source adds, “Initially, she’ll be introduced as Zaara’s friend. However, later on it is learnt that this friend is actually Zaara herself, who’s undergone a face-off post her accident.”

Let’s hope post this surgery, Zaara doesn’t have any side effects on the TRP chart.
