Sudeepa Singh goes to Bollywood
After spending some sleepless nights Ardhangini’s lead actress Sudeepa Singh is one happy actress today. It was only recently that Zee TV announced that the show was to be pulled off air by the end of April and everybody was left wondering about the lead actors Ajay Krish and Sudeepa Singh’s future.

But it seems that luck is shining on actress Sudeepa Singh. A source close to her informs that the damsel has received an offer to do a movie by showman Subhash Ghai. Source says, “Sudeepa has been offered a lead role by Subhash Ghai. Mukta Arts offered her a movie when it came to know that her only show Ardhangini is going off-air. But the actress is advised to remain tight-lipped about the project. They have still not decided on the hero and the title.”

Despite repeated attempts Sudeepa remained unavailable for comments.

But as they say all’s well that ends well.

Is Aamna Aftab’s love interest?
Aamna Shariff who got her big break with Anuj Saxena’s Aloo Chaat seems to be getting comfortable with the hero of the movie Aftab Shivdasani both on as well as off-screen. Producer Anuj Saxena threw a casual dinner party at his restaurant Blue Waters for the lead actors of the film. Post the party the duo was spotted hand-in-hand at 2:00 a.m. in China House and their PDA was witnessed by all present.

Sources say, “They look very comfortable in each other’s company and going by their PDA they seem to be a couple.”

So where does that leave her beau Rajeev? The source replies, “Aamna and Rajeev are not making any appearances together. They stay in touch only via sms or phone calls.”

Aamna sure knows how to have her cake and eat it too.

Rahul Roy says no to television
It was only recently when we reported that Ratna Sinha of Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na was hunting for a well-known face to play the role opposite Itishree Singh. It was also reported that the production house and the channel were trying hard to rope in Sandeep Patil who has his hands full with prior commitments.

Now a little birdie from the sets tells us that Ratna Sinha then tried to rope in Bigg Boss’ winner Rahul Roy (of Ashiqui fame). But Rahul rejected it saying that he has no intention of doing television and is concentrating on Bollywood. This is to refresh Rahul’s memory that it was television that gave the actor a second lease to life.

Rahul it’s better to play a lead on television then to wait for a ‘blink and miss’ role in movies!

Babul Supriyo sings a new tune
Babul Supriyo is once again in the limelight. The coming episode of Dhoom Macha De has the singer in the danger zone. It has been reported that Babul who was flying high is now singing a different tune after he had to bite the dust.

In the coming episode Babul gives a fabulous performance which has Jaspinder and Richa in tears.

Though the judges were happy with Babul’s performance he was still placed in the danger zone. Judges Shankar and Prasoon told him that he should have taken this competition seriously and shouldn’t have been so overconfident about his singing. “You are also mortal,” the judges said to him.

After Suneeta’s elimination Babul heaved a sigh of relief. But Sharmila said, “Babul you have been frustrating us since long. Today you gave a wonderful performance and hope you continue to do the same. I feel from today you will put an end to our frustration,” says a source.

Babul, hope you have learned your lesson.

Sandeep Patil may follow in son’s footsteps
Sandip Patil may soon follow in his son’s footsteps. Son Chirag who is currently acting in Balaji’s Karam Apnaa Apnaa may have dad Sandeep too doing a role in a serial.

A little birdie tells us that the flamboyant batsman of the 80’s has been offered a prominent role in Ratna Sinha’s Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. Sources tell us that Sandeep has been offered the role of someone from the glamour industry opposite Itishree Singh (lead Aastha’s sister). Apparently the actor has to start shooting immediately. But Sandeep has other commitments till April and so he has not given his nod as yet and is reportedly considering the role. The channel and producer Ratna Sinha are very keen on roping in a well- known face to do the role.

Well if Sandeep takes up the role he would be the third cricketer on television after Salil Ankola and Navjot Singh Siddhu.

Are Ram and Sita of Ramayan married in real life as well?
If rumours are to be believed then Ram and Sita of NDTV Imagine’s Ramayan are married to each other both on screen and in real life as well. Ram essayed by Gurmeet Choudhary and Sita essayed by Debina Bonnerjee are reportedly said to be deliberately keeping a low profile and hiding their marital status.

A source close to the couple says, “Gurmeet and Debina are married in real life. But they have been advised to keep this under wraps so that it doesn’t harm their career and the show.”

When contacted Gurmeet Choudhary denied the rumours and said, “When you become a known face such rumours tend to crop up. Why would one hide his or her marriage? One cannot hide his or her marriage.”

Debina remained unavailable for her comments.

Hai Ram, yeh kya ho raha hai?

Sapna Babul Ka
Tell me your dreams… Neha Marda who is currently seen in Ek Thi Rajkumari on Zee Next was totally taken back after having experienced something very bizarre.

The bubbly actress lives alone in Mumbai and recently she dreamed that her father had passed away. She was totally horrified with this and on the next day the shoot had to be cancelled because she was a bundle of nerves. Her mother was informed of her condition. Her mother flew down from Calcutta to make her understand that it was just a dream and there was nothing to worry about.

“My mother told me that I should take this dream as a positive one. It is said if you dream of someone dying in fact the person gets blessed with a longer life,” says Neha.

This is one emotional moment for all daddy’s dearies.

Shobha Kapoor's thank you gesture!
Shobha Kapoor who prefers to keep a low profile is the backbone of Balaji Telefilms. It is learnt that the low profile head honcho Shobha Kapoor is the one who floated the idea of roping in Abhay and Nausheen from Kkusum for a guest appearance in Kuchh Is Tarah. The two actors accepted the offer to make a special appearance for old time sake.

She, in turn, as a thank you gesture sent a big bouquet of white roses to both Anuj Saxena and Nausheen Ali Sardaar. The bouquets also had a ‘Thank You’ note personally signed by Shobha Kapoor.

Well Balaji sure knows how to entice their actors.

Preferential treatment for Milind on K for Kishore?
After extending their largesse to Indian Idol 3 finalist Amit Paul, who was given the green signal for the next round without having performed, Sony’s K for Kishore has offered preferential treatment to another contestant, albeit of a different kind.

Celebrity contestant Milind Ingle has a personal vanity van while the others share one. If sources are to be believed this has irked few of the contestants.

A contest, not wishing to be named, says, “This is true but I really don’t want to comment on it. This is matter between the channel and Milind. Unlike Milind, we are being made to share our vanity vans. However, I hold no grudge against Milind for this. He’s a dear friend.”

Another contest, on condition of anonymity says, “Milind is a celebrity. Perhaps, that’s the reason why he gets a separate vanity van. However, we don’t have any issues with it.”

Such generosity in today’s times is a rarity. Great going guys!

Tassniem left alone

For the successful life is travelling only in the fast lane. And this was witnessed at the press conference of Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. As soon as the press conference for the show ended the media gathered around the stars to take bytes and interviews of the star-cast. The cast included Virendra Saxena, Sadhna Singh, Additi Gupta, etc.

As soon as the interviews were over the entire star cast left leaving a poor Tassniem Sheikh behind all alone. A really disappointed Tassniem was heard saying, “Everybody has left and what about me? I am left alone and how will I go now?” Last heard Tassniem was screaming for a lady named Daisy.

As the old saying goes time and tide wait for no man…rather actress.
