Raghavan more known as Sahil Sarabhai now is planning to change a shift from television.
The actor now wants to try his hand in Bollywood. Currently he is just waiting
for his debut film U Me Aur Hum to release. “I’ve
been in television since long but now I also want to try my luck in Bollywood.
This is another reason for not taking much work on TV,” says Sumeet. Are
you planning to quit television? “No I’m not quitting it but will only take up
work that excites me. I have a few offers for saas-bahu roles but I’m not interested.
Although I don’t mind anchoring shows.” Sumeet is making his acting
debut in Bollywood with U Me Aur Hum. “I have kept television on hold.
Even Ajay Devgan has asked me to hold my appearance on TV till the film releases,”
he avers. But don’t you think that television actors are not so
gracefully accepted on the big screen? “I agree with that. For example like Tulsi,
Mihir, Parvati, are labelled so it becomes difficult to break the mould. I have
done one daily (Sarabhai) so it won’t be hard for me at least,” he says.
“Well if films don’t work out I’ll be content with television. I’m doing
films so that in future I won’t grudge that,” he concludes. Sumeet,
if the big screen doesn’t accept you it’s their loss entirely.
