The show manages to create news day after day. And the launch date is still to be announced. It has been reported that one the nine celeb participants was Sachin Pilgaonkar. But news now has it that Varun Badola who is currently seen in Ek Chabi Hai Pados Mein has replaced Sachin. After exercising his vocal his chords in Jhoom India the actor is now all set to show his jalwa in Yeh Hai Jalwa.

A matter-of-fact Varun says, “I took up this show as I was offered good money.” And then adds, “It has an interesting concept and I’m looking forward to it.”

So when the money was good and the concept interesting why did Sachin opt out? “There is no problem between me, the channel or the production house. In fact I share a good rapport with the production house. I opted out as I have just completed a Marathi film and its due for release. At present I want to concentrate only on the film,’ he explains.

“Even earlier I did get offers but refused for this same reason. Now the post- production work has begun. The movie has been made under my banner and I’m also acting in it. As I am involved in many aspects it gives me little time to take up any other project,” he avers.

Varun will be heading Sachin’s team known as ‘Gurukul’ which consists of senior citizens.

This one is surely worth a dekko.
