Holi Hai

Jayati Bhatia:

My best Holi partner:
I love celebrating the festival with my friends as my husband doesn't play Holi a wee-bit. You have to be a little crazy when it comes to playing with colours. You can't enjoy if you act sophisticated.

Best Holi:
It has to be the first Holi which followed a week later after my marriage in 1992. It was in Delhi and all my relatives coloured me black and blue. Also the Holi bash that Tanvi Azmi holds every year is fun to be a part of. I have some fond memories from the same bash in the year before last as I had bhaang.

High on Bhaang:
My friends and I were trying since the last five years to get high with bhaang but failed miserably. I think the bhaang we have had all those years was adulterated. It was only last to last year at Tanvi Azmi's party that I had bhaang and got high. After that we ( Sharad, Kirti, Manav, Shweta and Sachin Shroff) headed for another Holi bash. The minute we entered the bash we were all drenched as it was a rain dance party. It was then that I felt the kick of bhaang.

Silly point:
Suddenly in the other party I felt the music going down. The incidents that took actually five minutes seemed like an hour to me. When my friends started having food I screamed at them saying that how much they were eating. I kept telling all and sundry not to ask me many questions as I am under the influence of bhaang. I had sweets after reaching home and there was no stopping me. I had really gone for a toss that day. I was to shoot for an ad the day after. Since I was still under the influence of bhaang I did not know what I ended up doing. But later I came to know that they had to get it dubbed. My friends narrated the series of events the day later.

Any embarrassment:
As far as the other party is concerned I was embarrassed.

Enjoy!
