The
Polar Bear, the world's largest terrestrial carnivore is smart, unpredictable
and extremely dangerous. Every October, the migration of more than 1,000 bears
sends them on a collision course with a small town in Northern Canada. This
Great Ice Bear Event begins every October on the western shore of Hudson,
in Churchill, Manitoba. In fact, with a population of 1200 animals, more bears
live around here than people. Watch
'The Great Ice Bear event' on 27 Mar at 9.00 pm on Animal Planet.
