The Great Ice Bear Event

The Polar Bear, the world's largest terrestrial carnivore is smart, unpredictable and extremely dangerous. Every October, the migration of more than 1,000 bears sends them on a collision course with a small town in Northern Canada. This Great Ice Bear Event begins every October on the western shore of Hudson, in Churchill, Manitoba. In fact, with a population of 1200 animals, more bears live around here than people.

Watch 'The Great Ice Bear event' on 27 Mar at 9.00 pm on Animal Planet.
