She may have snubbed Jhoom India, but legendary singer Asha Bhonsle has agreed to be a ‘Mahaguru’ for the remaining episodes of Sony’s K for Kishore.

The competition which is now down to its final five contestants will have Asha as the Mahaguru in addition to the existing jury panel of Bappi Lahiri, Sudesh Bhonsle and Amit Kumar.

Surprisingly, why is it that Asha wasn’t there on the show earlier? Executive VP and Business Head Sony Albert Almeida says “On the contrary, what’s the harm in having her for the final five episodes?”

While there’s no harm in having Asha before or mid-way in the show, but we wonder whether Asha’s presence will enable to rake in high TRPs?
