Aamir Dalvi (aka Rajiv of
Saathi Re fame) has stepped into Sahara One’s Main Aisi Kyun Hoon.
On the first day of his shoot, the actor had quite an interesting experience with
his co-star Nazneen Patel, who plays Sanjana in the show. Aamir
says, “It was the first day of my shoot and unfortunately it didn’t pan out the
way I wanted. In a particular scene, Sanjana (Nazneen) is travelling with me in
a car. She was occupying the backseat. I’m supposed to drop her at her place.
Nazneen opened the door to step out but I was completely unaware and I stepped
on the accelerator. She was leaning on the door with her one of legs hanging outside.
This ordeal lasted for a few seconds before I pressed the brakes.” Adding
further, he says, “Though, she didn’t suffer any injury, I was really petrified
as to how she would react. After all, this was the first day of my shoot and I
least expected it to pan out this way. However, Nazneen is such a sweet girl and
was quick to let go off the incident.” Coming back to the show,
Aamir’s character will bring about a new dimension to the sagging drama. “I play
Rahul, he is the COO of a call centre. Rahul meets Sanjana in a typical filmy
style. Sanjana is chased by some goons and it takes heroics from Rahul to save
her. Well, that’s how they get going and soon this friendship will blossom into
love. While I saved her from the goons, I couldn’t prevent her from the minor
mishap,” says Aamir apologetically. Aamir who is also doing Zee
Next’s Yahaan Ke Hum Sikander has decided to quit the show so as to concentrate
solely on Main Aisi.. He says, “Though, I would have loved to do both the
shows but I just didn’t have the time. I had to make a choice and so I opted for
Main Aisi… My producers (Yahaan Ke…) were kind enough to relieve
me of my duties.” It’s the first time that Aamir is doing a Paresh
Rawal show and he’s all excited about it. “Though, I’m yet to meet Pareshji, it’s
been great working with this team. I’ve shot for just five days but I’m already
gelling well with all my co-actors. Fun apart, working for Pareshji also gives
the necessary fillip to my career,” concludes Aamir.
