Owing to the over- whelming response from viewers especially those from the smaller towns Babul Ka Aangan Chootey Na on Sony has undergone a change in it’s time-slot. The show which was earlier aired at 10:00 pm. has now been re-scheduled for 9:30 pm starting this week. As 10pm is a late hour for the small town audiences the show has now being slated for an earlier hour. And the show that has replaced Babul Ka Aangann.. is Tujko Hai Salaam Zindgi. The channel has gone in for a major reshuffling of its three serials which air in the prime-time slot. Tujko Hai Salaam Zindgi was earlier aired at 8:30 pm. and is now replaced by Amber-Dhara which aired at 9:30 pm.

Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na will now compete with the likes of Kasturi on Star Plus and Zee’s Saath Phere wherein, earlier it was competing with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii . When asked about the sudden time change Ratna Sinha, producer of the show informs, “This is the channel’s call completely. Based on an extensive research it was suggested that 9:30 is a better time-slot. We are getting good response from the viewers and have some loyal audiences attached to it.”

She adds, “This is for the good of the show. The new timing suits the viewers from small towns as for them the night begins early than their counterparts in cities.”

Albert Almeida, Business Head Sony Entertainment Television says, “It is done keeping in mind the best interest of the channel. The shuffle is done after extensive research by Sony’s marketing team. It is for the best implementation and accommodation of channel’s future plans.”

When asked if the shuffling of the shows will affect Amber-Dhara which is shifted from 9:30 pm. to 8:30 pm, Albert said, “We have done our ground work and it is not an overnight decision. For us the channel and its shows collectively matter more than an individual show. It is all done in the interest of the channel and all its shows.”
