Crown Thy Mother

God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers, says a Jewish proverb. So very true! And to celebrate this gifted relation (though every single day of his existence, a child will be thankful to THE mother), is Mother's Day which falls on this year on 11 May.

On the eve of this honorary day, our TV actors too become touchy while talking about the gratitude they intend to exhibit for their moms. What they plan for the day, the relation they share and message that they would like to convey to their mother….read on.

Sara Khan

I am going to call up my mother who lives in Bhopal, my home town and thank her for being such a wonderful mom. I love her a lot and she is the best. As a child I used to get lot of spanking from her. I was a rebellious child and till my tenth grade I have got a lot of beating from her. Now that I am grown up, I try not to back answer or argue with her and always keep her happy. I want to give her all the happiness in life. It feels great to see the twinkle in her eyes when ever she sees me on TV and when people come up to her and ask about me. I want to work hard in life so that she continues to feel proud of me.

Angad Hasija

I am totally a mamma's boy. My mom means the world to me. Everything I do in my life is for her. If and when I get married, it's going to be for her happiness and with the girl of her choice. I hate to go against her. Since I am staying far from her, I miss her a lot. As I can't do much being far from her, I will call and wish her.

Karishma Tanna

I am going to gift my mom a car which I wanted to since quite some while and Mother's day is the perfect occasion for it. I am also going to take her out for lunch. It is not that I believe in these days but it just gives you a chance to express your feelings. Like every child, I feel my mom is the best mother in the entire universe. We have always shared a friendly relation. My mom used to be strict with me while I was in school because otherwise I wouldn't study. I love her a lot and I'm grateful to her for every little and big thing she has done for me. I want to thank her for everything. She is the best.

Tina Parekh

My mother and my mother-in-law are going to get a lunch treat from me this Mother's day. After that, I may take them out for shopping. Both of them mean a lot to me. For every girl, her mother is the best support system and it the same holds for me. The relation one shares with their mother can never be replaced. It is a unique relationship which can't be described or explained. When I was young, I was not a peaceful child and I have troubled my mom a lot. Even today I call up my mom any time of the day and make many a demands. Mothers do so much for us unconditionally, without even us realizing it.

Shweta Kawatra
Except for anniversaries and birthdays, I don't celebrate any day. I feel every day is a Mother's day; every day is a lover's day and so on. But I will give my appreciation to my mom on Mother's day and I want to thank her for every thing she has done for me. Since we don't live in the same town, I can only show my gratitude on phone and wish her. How much ever I thank her, it is never going to be enough. I am indebted to her for my life and for what ever I am today. As a child I was a very obedient and a quiet girl, so I have never caused trouble for her. Yet, she was strict with me at that time. However we are friends now. I always look up to her for advice as she has seen more life than me. She is also my best critic as far as work is concerned.
