As per recent reports, not
one but three shows on Sahara One - Sollah
Sringarr, Zaara and Main Aaisi Kyun Hoon were to go off
air. However it was on 7 May that an official announcement was made that Solhah
Sringarr has got an extension, thus saving it from the axe.
Confirms
Aakangsha Rawat who plays Shagun in the show, "We have got an extension of
three months." She avers, "They have given us a chance to prove ourselves
again and if it works then we might get extension of three more months, making
it six months in total. There is a possibility."
Have you mulled
over taking up any other project if the show is pulled off? "Well to be honest,
I did think that if the show goes off air I would like to go for a nice holiday.
Now that the show has got extension there is little chance of me going for other
projects as I'm loving the way my character is shaping up," states Aakangsha.
Elaborating
on her stint in the show she elaborates, "I'm essaying a double role in Solhah
Sringarr. My duplicate in the show who is planted by Sonia (Kirti Kelkar)
has a Haryanvi accent. I'm enjoying my act and trying to do justice with both
the positive and negative characters."
What genre of roles would you
like to essay henceforth? "I have a clear idea of the kind of projects I
want to be associated with but I would not like to reveal anything now as chances
of misinterpretation are high. I don't want that to happen in my case. May be
after a month I can change my mind," she concludes.
So now it's apparent
that Aakangsha and the rest of the cast associated with Solhah Sringarr
have a reason to rejoice. But, hold on….what about the fate of the other two shows,
Zaara and Main Aaisi Kyun Hoon?
