The show will replace Bhabhi on Star Plus. Hamaari Devrani, a Shobhna Desai production will launch around 26th May with a host of new talent. But what caught our eye was little Jyoticaa who plays the childhood role of the devrani. This is Jyoticaa’s debut as a child artiste in a serial and the talented kid sure did not appear to be a novice. The 10- year- old was spotted by Shobhna Desai when she performed for an interstate drama competition. Jyoticaa played the role of a child widow who is remarried by her progressive father in a Gujarati play titled Ane Ek Divas. The story is set in the early 20th century in a village in south Gujarat.

Shobhna was impressed by little Jyoticaa and immediately offered her a role in her serial. Jyoticaa did full justice to her role and performance in the serial has been lauded by all those who watched her emote.

Jyoticaa is a fine Kathak dancer and has also won recognition for her paintings. She will be seen in the initial episodes of Hamaari Devrani.
