Shruti Ulfat makes a comeback

The beautiful Shruti Ulfat famous for shows like ‘Thoda hai thode ki zaroorat hai’ ‘Chattan’, ‘I love you’, ‘Hum do hai na’ and ‘Chalti ka naam antakshri’ is back on television with the episodic show Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat.

Though she also appeared in one episode of Shh Koi Hai, she believes Zindagi Badal Sakta Hai Hadsaa is from where she makes her comeback. She had taken a break from acting for the birth of her son Ojasya who is now one year old. Now that he has completed one year, she felt this was the time to make a comeback.

Shruti says, “I want to stay by the side of my little bundle of joy all the time. TV roles will come and go but not these moments.”

Shruti is currently living in Dehradun where she shifted during her pregnancy. Apart from looking after her son, she has also been doing theatre from there with her husband Alok Ulfat.

Shruti prefers working in episodic shows because she finds them comparatively interesting. “Currently I am in talks with Cinevistas for a show but nothing concrete has been decided.” She is not happy with the kind of serials that are made these days. If something substantial comes her way, she will take it up and shuffle between Dehradun and Mumbai.

Her hands are full with meaningful things in life but not with many commercial projects. She refuses to be a catalyst of shallow messages to the audiences. She wants to act in shows where she can aspire, motivate and give direction to the audience or even mere healthy entertainment would do but not the kind of regular shows that are running these days.
