Is
food the elixir of life? Good food is the elixir of life and not just
any unhealthy food. Are you a foodie?
I am a total foodie and I enjoy all kinds of food. I am open to different variety
in food. There is no food that I don’t like eating Are
you a veg or non-veg? I eat both but I prefer non-veg.
Favourite
cuisine: Chinese and Indian. Favourite
dish: Every dish cooked by my mom. I also like Butter Chicken from
Chawla da Dhaba and Fish Platter from Mezzo Mezzo of J.W Marriot. Favourite
restaurant: Mezzo Mezzo of J.W Marriot. A
must at my breakfast table… bread toast with jam is essential at my
breakfast table. Sugar or sugar free for my tea/coffee:
sugar for my tea and coffee and if I feel I have been consuming a lot of sugar
in a day then I go for sugar free in my desserts but not for beverages. Lunch
generally consists of… I prefer vegetarian food for lunch. I go for
roti, sabzi, a bowl of dal and salads. For
high tea I have… I generally eat digestive biscuits at tea time. As
I keep eating small meals through out the day, I don’t have an appetite to eat
anything heavier than biscuits. Dinner generally
consists of… I go for non-veg dishes like fish curry, chicken gravy
with rice and even rajma chawal. I also eat curd, salads and dal with
my dinner. Dessert delights… there
is a long list. I have a big sweet tooth. Some of my favourites are gajar ka
halwa, jalebi, Mysore Pak, chocolates and lots more! One
thing I can’t resist.. Gajar ka halwa. My
favourtie drink (non-alcoholic)… Water. My
favourite drink (alcoholic)… Margherita For
a date I usually prefer… going to a Chinese restaurant. My husband
knows this and he makes sure we go to a Chinese restaurant whenever we go out
for a date. At parties, I usually eat…
salads and Chinese food. Experiment with food?
I like going for food festival to try new dishes. There is one family
friend of ours who keeps cooking new dishes and gives us to taste. Most
unusual dish I’ve tasted… Khow suey. It was cooked by that same friend
of mine. On the streets, I love to have.. Pani
Puri, Bhel Puri and Gola. One
place I would never eat again… it is a three star restaurant at Juhu
which I don’t want to name. They make tasteless food. Do
you cook? Yes I do cook but not regularly. It depends on my mood. I
make nice rotis. A recipe that you can share
with us.. Prawn Masala. Put chopped onions in a pan. Add
tomatoes to the 1/4th amount of onions. Mix them adding garam masala,
chilly powder, coriander powder and salt to taste. Now drop the prawns
into the pan. Mix it and let it cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
