In a bizarre incident, Karan Pantiky (Apoorva) asked his co-actor Mukta Dogra (Barkha) from Jhoome Jiiya Re to cut short her leave so that he could proceed on his personal trip to Canada. Mukta was forced to take leave from work after her father was admitted in the I.C.U. In spite of being aware of Mukta’s plight, Karan, astonishingly, kept calling her to comeback so that he didn’t miss his trip.

When contacted a reluctant Mukta said, “It’s a matter of the past. I don’t want to comment anything on it now.”

While Mukta remained tight-lipped, a source close to the production says, “It’s true that Karan did ask Mukta to return quickly. He was fully aware of her father’s illness and yet he kept calling her. It’s an unfortunate incident, but I believe Karan must have done it out of desperation. He was keen to meet his parents in Canada. Expectedly, Mukta was little upset with it but she’s now moved on. Her father too has recovered.”
