| After
braving through several hiccups (lead actress Priyamvada
and lead actor Gaurav
Khanna quitting the show Meri
Doli Tere Angana
that airs at 2:00 pm on Zee is finally going off air. The reason behind
the show’s pull off is the souring relation between the channel and the production
house and the budget allocated informs our source. Akhilesh, supervising
director confirms the news and says, “It is true that the show is going off-air
but there are no issues with the channel whatsoever. We have completed our agreement
with the channel of 208 episodes. The last episode will air on Friday, May 16.”
Rahul Bhatt
, producer Filmtonic Entertainment, informs, “This was more of a creative
decision. The show has been running for more than a year and I believe if we continue
the show we would end up dragging the story. I am planning to come up with a new
daily drama.” Rahul however refutes all the rumours of ego clashes and issues
regarding the budget allocation with Zee. Tarun Mehra, Business
Head Zee, remained unavailable for the comment. For now the repeat
telecast of Vivaah will air in place of Meri Doli..
