After creating history on Indian television by becoming one of the longest running shows and the daily staple for millions of viewers, Balaji’s Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is reportedly going off-air by the beginning of August.

A source from the industry says, “Kahaani Ghar Ghar kii is going off air and as per the latest buzz it will be replaced by Rajan Shahi’s upcoming love story. It is because of the low TRPs that the show is going to be pulled off.”

Another source from Balaji says, “Ekta has already announced to her close ones that if the show doesn’t rake in good TRPs she will pull the show off. Also now that Saakshi Tanwar is shooting for Balaji’s Mahabharat , which leaves her with no time for any other show, the chances are more.”

Rajan Shahi confirmed that his new show is coming on Star Plus but remained tightlipped about the timing. He said, “My second show is coming on Star Plus but I am advised by the channel not to reveal the timing of the show.

Prem Kamath, Star India V.P. Marketing and Communication, said, “These all are speculations.” When asked if he means that the show is not going off-air, he said, “I am not saying that but we don’t comment on speculations.”
