“The industry needs stylish guys,” Krishna

Krishna famously known as Pinakin of Jasuben Jayantilal Joshi Ki Joint Family has struggled a lot to make his presence felt on television. After tedious efforts he some how has managed to strike a chord with audiences.

“Having come from Ranchi I had no idea of how to approach these production houses for work. After a lot of struggle I finally got a show on DD1 called Kashmkash Zindagi Key,” states Krishna.

“I have done theatre and also worked for Aakashwani in Ranchi and I wanted to try acting. I’ve given hundreds of auditions for Balaji but nothing has clicked. That was the time when I realised that one needs to look stylish to grab a meaty role,” he adds.

So how did you get JJJKJF? “I gave an audition for Hats Off production for the role of Bunty in Remote Control on 9X but as usual nothing clicked. I was feeling very down and out. Suddenly one day I received a call from the same production house but for a different show. I gave one more audition and was finally selected,” he avers.

What has Mumbai given you? “Well this is the place which gave me recognition but the only problem is that I’ve not accepted this place as yet. Life is too fast and I feel lonely over here,” says Krishna.

Dharmesh chachu in the show and you share a great on-screen rapport. How is it off-screen? “He is my god father. He pampers me a lot and takes care of me. I always keep saying that I’m Tulsi and Dharmesh is Parvati on and off screen,” he concludes.

It’s sad but true that the industry is not kind to ordinary faces. So Krishna will have to glam up if he wishes to make it big.
