The famous quote – ‘Marriages are made in heaven’ – seem to be so true when one sees Barkha and Indraneil relish in the bliss of marriage. They met on the sets of the serial Pyaar Ke Do Naam Ek Radha Ek Shyam. Gradually their friendship turned into love and they dated for two years before tying the knot. This real life couple play reel life husband and wife in the show Doli Saja Ke Rakhna on Sahara One.

Indaneil Sengupta and Barkha Bisht, the hottest newly wed couple of Tellydom, chat about their life after marriage.

What is the most romantic thing you did for each other after marriage?

Indraneil: She gives me romantic surprises every day. She loves presenting me gifts. Once I was telling her that I don’t like the music that is played in my gym and next day she got me an Ipod. She stayed up till three in the morning to download songs. That was so sweet of her. I find her the most romantic when she tells me that she has become a better person in my love. Barkha letting me play cricket is another romantic thing she did for me. Before marriage she used to feel neglected whenever I played cricket and she would always crib about it.

Barkha: He is a guy who hates entering the kitchen and he once surprised me by cooking an exotic dinner. After that he got fond of cooking and now he keeps cooking for me very often. I suggest to him that he make easy dishes but he is adamant that he will either cook exotically or he will not cook at all.

Who contributes more in household matters?

Barkha: It is Indraneil. He always wakes up before me. He manages most of the work and he is the more disciplined of the two of us.

Indraneil: She is right.

Does your mother-in-law get jealous when she finds her once upon a time lazy son cooking for you?

Barkha: My mother-in-law feels glad that her son is married to a girl who can make him cook. She is so supportive of me that she can never be jealous of me for anything.

Indraneil: Forget about my cooking, my mother is even supportive of Barkha wearing short dresses. Can you imagine a mother-in-law who encourages her daughter-in-law to dress sexy?

Barkha: Once she went for shopping with Indraneil and got me a dress which was real short. It was so embarrassing to get such a gift from my mother-in-law. Whenever she watches me hosting shows on TV wearing little dresses, she calls me up to say how hot I looked and what a great body I have got. That is so amusing.

Where did the two of you go for your honeymoon and who decided the place?

Indraneil: We had gone to the Maldives. Barkha decided the location. She is fond of beaches. She always had beach fantasies so I agreed to her decision and I wanted realize the fantasies of my beautiful wife.

Barkha: It was not just my decision. Both of us decided on it jointly, I just chose the place.

Indraneil: Even I was happy with the place because I like isolation and Maldives is a place where we could spend time with each other in complete isolation.

Share with us the most memorable moment of your honeymoon?

Indraneil: Everything about our honeymoon was simply great. Each moment was special. We got a massage there which was amazing. We were so tired making an episode bank before our honeymoon that the massage turned out to be very useful.

Barkha: We spent such a beautiful time with each other during our honeymoon. Our phones were switched off and we were isolated from the world. Maldives being a quiet and peaceful place made our honeymoon terrific.

You have worked together earlier as well, when you were not a couple. What is the difference in working together between then and now?

Barkha: We are more punctual now as we come together on the sets. Our producer is happy as our dates and timings are the same, so there is no hassle. There is also understanding and a great comfort level. Earlier, we were just co-stars.

Indraneil: The best thing is that we get to spend a lot of time with each other. We enjoy each other’s company at work. We give our inputs, which was not possible earlier. I criticize her if I feel her shot was not good and vice versa. That does not mean we love working all the time just because we are together. We make sure that we don’t work for more than 14 hours a day.

What is the equation that you share with each other’s parents?

Indraneil: I am a reserved person so I don’t interact much with them. I should try and avoid being reticent. I feel happy when they call me up and Barkha makes a point to keep in touch with my parents, so it is not right of me to be reticent with them. From now on, I will try to call them up regularly.

Barkha: I share a fantastic rapport with his parents. They are extremely sweet to me. It is so disappointing that when I chat with my sisters, I don’t have anything to bitch about my parents-in-law. They don’t give me that opportunity for they are simply so sweet.

Any plans of starting a family?

Barkha: We are not planning to start a family for at least the next three years.

Indraneil:We want to enjoy our time with each other, without kids for some years.
