The
winner of MTV roadies 5.0 Ashutosh Kaushik is ecstatic about life and he has all
reason to be. Roadies was a U-turn in the life of this Dhabawala as he
not only won prize money and a Hero Honda bike, he also found love, an opportunity
to travel abroad and earn name-fame, all of which was a distant dream prior to
Roadies. Ashutosh believes that he has set an example for others
by cocking a snook at people who carry preconceived notions that you need to be
English speaking and belong to the big cities to be a part of Roadies.
Here
is Ashutosh speaking on life and Roadies exclusively to Tellychakkar.
What are you going to do with the prize money? I am going
to give all the prize money to my parents. I had borrowed money from my father
to travel through Delhi, Lucknow and Jaipur, giving auditions for Roadies. This
is the first time I am giving something to my parents. My parents used to think
that I am totally useless. They never expected that I would gift them such a huge
sum of money. What next? I want to become a Bollywood
hero. So far, I haven’t got any offer but I want to stay back in Mumbai and hunt
for a role. Was there a moment in Roadies when you felt really
sad? It was when Sonel got eliminated. I was really disappointed at
that time. I was the one to decide on Nihal and Sonel’s survival. I chose Nihal
to stay in the show as both of us kept supporting each other throughout the show
and I couldn’t betray him for a girl. I feel even sadder as I was the factor behind
her elimination. Are you seriously interested in Sonel? I
am definitely serious about Sonel. I want to marry her. I am going to talk to
my parents about her and if they agree, I wouldn’t mind marrying her. I know she
is a bit irritating but what to do I am just so generous. She also makes me spend
a lot. Why did you lie to your parents about being a part of
Roadies? My parents did not even know what the hell the Roadies show
is. If I had told them I am going to participate in it, they would have felt that
I am involving myself in some new nonsense. Which task did you
enjoy doing the most on Roadies? I enjoyed the boxing the most. It was
great fun.
