Reality shows are a guaranteed ticket to instant fame, recognition and money and the temptation is enough to catch the interest of tinsel-town actors.

This is the reason why the caravan of actors rolls on such shows. All of them want to be a part of the reality shows, more so the younger lot who have a constant craving to make it big. Amidst these facts, we get to hear strange tales about the reality behind these reality shows and the recent one is about Balaji’s Gharwali Baharwali.

As per the show, the actors have to perform with their on-screen girlfriend/wife and off-screen girlfriend/wife. The buzz is that the actors approached by the production house, who are still single, are running from pillar to post to convince actresses to become their off-screen girlfriends and participate in the show. And one such actress to be approached by Vishal Singh of Balaji’s Kuchh Is Tara is Ashita Dhawan aka Malti of Bidaai. The actress, who is already seeing actor Saillesh Gulabani, was reportedly shocked by Vishal’s proposal.

A source close to the actress says, “Vishal called up Ashita asking her to participate in Gharwali Baharwali as his real life girlfriend. But the actress, who is going strong in a relationship with her actor boyfriend Saillesh Gulabani, rejected the offer and told him that this is against her ethics and values. Vishal told her that she can convince Saillesh for the show as she will earn a handsome amount of money from it. Ashita was appalled by his attitude and shocked by the offer.”

When contacted, Ashita chose not to comment on the posed question.

Vishal Singh, on the other hand has another tale to tell. He says, “It was not me who got in touch with Ashita. In fact, I don’t even know her. I was offered Gharwali Baharwali and I thought of doing it with Dimple Jhangiani and Parinita Sahu, my actresses from Kuchh Is Tara. But Dimple couldn’t confirm her participation in the show. I was discussing it with my co-actor Anju Mahendroo if she could suggest some names.”

“My make-up man overheard it and said that he knows an actress and randomly dialed a number and handed the phone to me. I just asked the lady if she would be interested in doing Gharwali Baharwali with me, which she refused to do. I immediately apologised to her as I did not even know her,” Vishal explains.

As of now Vishal is all set to participate in the show with Dimple (who has finally agreed to participate in the show) as his on-screen girlfriend and Parineeta as real life girlfriend.

When asked if Parineeta is his off-screen girlfriend for real, he said, “We are very close.”

It has earlier happened in Nach Baliye 3 where Karan Patel and Amita Chandekar reportedly deceived all by participating in the show as a couple only to end their relationship as they exited the show. It is reported that they were never seeing each other and it was only to participate in the show that they decided to come together as an item.

Well as more cases surface, one starts to doubt the reality quotient of such reality shows.
