Supervolcano is a new-feature docudrama charting the effects of one of nature’s most cataclysmic events – a volcanic eruption big enough to obliterate much of America in an instant, killing millions with ash-flows and mud-slides within hours and creating a global winter that brings civilization to the brink within weeks. The programme focuses on the dilemma faced by the Yellowstone scientific team, led by Professor Rick Lieberman, whose job is to monitor the supervolcano. It is a story of disasters, destruction and hope.
