| She
first appeared on the small screen as a participant of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.
After that there has been no looking back for her. In her contract with Zee TV
for two
years, she was offered a role in Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan. So acting happened
toherabsolutely by chance. She says that in the beginning she did not have the
minutest idea about acting. Today, she is exploring new avenues of her life and
is all set to go places with her talent. Confident and determined to make
it big, Twinkle Bajpai believes that she will be appreciated and successful with
or without the show Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan. Tellychakkar
caught up with the spunky girl recently. Are you doing any shows
these days?
Currently I am not doing anything. I have been getting some
offers. Nothing has been worked out so far. I acted in the episodic show Phir
Koi Hai after Betiyaan. This is the kind of show I like working on.
It was very interesting because they don't drag the story. It is like working
on a film. Tell us about your career as a singer? I have sung
a song for a film called Riwaz. The film was nominated for the international
films festival in New York. I wanted to participate in the singing talent hunt
show Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar on Star Plus but since I was doing Betiyaan
at that time I could not participate in it. I am looking forward to participating
in such reality talent hunt shows for singing. I am in the midst of talks with
a production house for singing talent hunt but nothing has been finalised so far.
Any plans to join Bollywood? I have been getting a lot of offers
for films but nothing interesting has come my way. I am waiting for the right
opportunity. If something good comes along, I'll grab it. As of now I want to
focus on television shows and singing. The production team of Ghar Ki Laxmi
Betiyaan had created unnecessary trouble in my life. People who I meet tell
me that I deserve a lot and have a bright future. Who is your favourite
co-star from Betiyaan? I like all my three sisters in Betiyaan.
They were all very kind to me. We had developed a great bond. I get calls from
them saying that they miss me. Smriti couldn't stop her tears when I left the
show. But if you ask me to name one favourite co-star then it is Rohini Hattangadi. Any
regrets on leaving the show? Not at all. I should have left it long back,
that's the only regret. I really suffered because of the new production team.
I was hospitalised several times. Once I even worked continuously day and night
for five days and after giving so much when they try to tarnish your reputation,
it really bugs. They should be thanking me for my co- operation but instead they
harassed me which is so unfair. I am a dignified person. I did not want to blame
any one in media but after they started tarnishing my reputation even I couldn't
keep quiet any more. Why do you think it happened to you alone? Just
two days ago I got a call from one of my co-stars saying that my replacement was
already planned. They harassed me on purpose so that I would get fed up and leave
the show on my own. They used to keep me waiting for five hours a day and on my
entry on the sets, there would be no one even to open the door or carry my bag.
I would have to call up production people, and still no one would come. This was
the sort of treatment that I was given. The new production team is very disorganised
and irresponsible. I'm glad I left.
