| He
dodged the bullet thrice but couldn’t escape the fourth time. Baddie Akashdeep
Sehgal and his Pakistani partner Pervez Siddiqui have finally been eliminated
from Sony’s Comedy Circus 2. A
reliable source informs, “For four consecutive weeks, Akashdeep and Pervez found
themselves in the bottom two. In the first week, they managed to beat Sucheta
and Salim Afridi. A week later, a tie between them and Kamya-Rajiv, saw them survive
again. In the third week, Sayantani Ghosh was disqualified after her partner Kuldeep
Dubey failed to turn up. That saved the day again for Akashdeep and Pervez. However,
their luck ran out as they weren’t able to beat Shailesh Lodha and Apara Mehta
in the fourth week.”
Despite repeated attempts, Akashdeep remained
unavailable for comment. Akashdeep’s elimination episode will be broadcasted on
24th May. Another interesting development in the show is that Shekhar
Suman will now be a permanent member of the jury panel. Earlier, the show was
to have a rotating third judge. Shekhar made his first appearance last week and
from here on we will see him till the end. An elated Vipul Shah, producer of the
show says, “We can now confirm that Shekharji will be a permanent fixture on our
show. We are honoured to have him on board. He’s a very intellectual man and a
brilliant judge too. He’s never one to mince words.”
