TGILC 4 postponed; now set for a June launch

All recently launched shows who thought they could survive the onslaught of the Indian Premier League unfortunately have some egg on their faces. However, Star One has decided to play it safe and have cleverly postponed the fourth season of its premier comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

We rang up Star India VP, Marketing and Communications Prem Kamath and TGILC director Pankaj Saraswat but neither of them agreed to it. However, a reliable source confirms this news to us. “Earlier the show was to launch around May 9-10 but the phenomenal successes of IPL has forced the channel to postpone the show. It will now be launched in the first week of June.”

TGILC 4 will be judged by Navjot Sidhu and Shatrughan Sinha. There’s also a new host with Shenaz Treasurywala replacing Parizad Kolah-Marshall.
