Yet
another dance reality show titled Dancing
Queen is set to launch on Colors. Viewers
may have already noticed the promos of the
show on air. But due to the ongoing strike
there is ambiguity regarding the launch
date. The show is unique in its format as
it is based on item numbers and will have
some of the most popular item girls participating.
A source informed, The format of this
show is such that there will be ten jodis
competing with each other. Each jodi
will have one common girl and one item girl.
Among the item girls, Sanober
Kabir, Shweta Menon and Rakhi
Sawant are some of the participants. Kashmeera
Shah has also been approached
but her participation in the show is not
yet confirmed. Of the commoners, Alina of
Bigg
Boss 2 fame and her
twin sister Sana will be participating in
the show. Small time model Moon Das who
was in the news for her boyfriend committing
suicide after killing her mother and uncle,
will also be a part of this show as a participant.
Among the ten commoners, one of the participants
is a former bar dancer.
Elaborating on the format, the source added,
Rakhi
Sawant and her partner will enter
the show through the wild card. The first
two episodes will be non-elimination episodes
but from the third episode onwards, one
pair will get eliminated each week.
As
far as the judges are concerned, the source
informs, The production house, SOL is in
talks with Hema Malini to judge the show
and there are strong chances of her being
a part of this show as a judge. Mithun Chakraborty
has also been approached for the same.
Talking to Tellychakkar Hema Malini
informed, I have yet not signed on the
dotted line. But I am considering it. If
Hema Malini accepts this show, it will be
her foray into reality shows as a judge.
The shoot for Dancing Queen was
scheduled to begin from November 20th but
due to the strike, it has been delayed.
Now the shoot as well as the launch of the
show remains uncertain.
Fazeela, the co-producer of SOL preferred
not to comment on the show.
