If sources are to be believed then SaiBaba Telefilms’ Chak De on 9X will not be aired post strike. After the successful run of the first season of Chak De Bachche, the producer and the channel had joined hands for the second season of Chak De – Shehar Di Kudiyan Te Galli De Gunde and now the show has abruptly come to an end.

We contacted the host of the show actress Roshni Chopra, who confirmed the news and said, “Yes, the news is true and Chak De has been pulled off. It was the best rated show on the channel and one has not been given the reason behind this decision.”

We also contacted co-host Manoj Tiwari who said, “I can’t confirm anything as yet as there are a lot of uncertainties surrounding this.”

A well-placed source from the industry says, “It has been solely the channel’s decision to pull off the show. Being a formatted show there are eliminations every week on the show and keeping the show out of telecast for quite sometime now has affected the continuity of the show due to which TRPs may get affected. Also we all know the condition the channel is in.”

We tried contacting Indrani Mukerjea, CEO and Founder INX Media, but she did not revert.
