What started as a minor tussle between two people resulted in a murder. An actor identified as Manu Gulshan Sindhi killed a driver named Sajid Syed yesterday on the sets of NDTV Imagine’s Ramayan located in Panikhet, Baroda.

Confirming the news Joint Commissioner of Police, Pravin Sinha says, “A case has been field against the accused Manu Sindhi at the Panikhet Police Station. This murder took place last night at Sagar Studios in Panikhet.”

Elaborating on the incident, Assistant Sub Inspector of Panikhet police station Jeet Singh says, “The murder took place around at 6.00 pm yesterday at Ramanand Sagar Studios. Sajid had come to pick up few artistes. Manu who was riding a horse during the shoot got into an altercation with the driver. Sajid told Manu not to ride the horse beyond a certain boundary. This upset Manu so much that he hit Sajid with a bhala (an arrow- like weapon). Sajid died on the spot. Manu immediately fled from the scene but hours later he was picked up from his village Tarsale.”

Manu plays the role of one of the soldiers in Ravana’s army.
