Imagine is currently embracing Ekta Kapoor.
Reportedly, Balaji will be churning out
more than one shows for this channel. With
this being the case, the next question is
where to fit Ekta’s upcoming shows?
Speculation
is rife that one of Ekta’s soap will push
Hats Off productions Jasuben Jayantilaal
Joshi Ki Joint Family into a weekend
slot.
Says a source, “While it is not clear which
Balaji show will come on air first, it’s
certain that Jasuben would indeed
be pushed to the weekend slot. A Balaji
show will occupy the 10.00 pm slot in the
months to come.”
JD..Majethia of Hats Off productions though
rubbished the news. “Frankly speaking, you
are the first one to break this news to
me.” However, a source from Hats Off productions’
did admit to hearing such tales but felt
that it would be better if we spoke to JD.Majethia.”
Amongst the Balaji shows, the first in
line to go on air would probably be Kabhi
Kabhi Ise Junoon Kehte Hai. Commenting
on the show, a source from Balaji says,
“It is a love story similar to Balaji’s
earlier show Kahiin to Hoga. The
track focuses on four girls. Dimple Jhangiani
is one of them but the lead is not yet finalised.
The production house is looking for a new
face for the lead role. Except for Dimple,
none of the actors have been finalised.
The show will probably go on air by the
end of November or the first week of December.”
Despite repeated calls and even a text
message, Imagine programming head Shailja
Kejriwal remained unavailable for comment.
