After Twinkle Bajpai was replaced by Gunjan Walia and Yuvraj Malhotra was killed in the show, Neeta Shetty who played Gauri also quit and now it’s the veteran actress Rohini Hattangady who has quit Creative Eye’s Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan. She is the fourth actor who has bid adieu to the show.

It is also heard that two more actors, Nupur Alankaar and Kartik Sabharwal have gone missing in the show.

And as wickets continue to fall the fifth one could be that of Yatin Karyekar who plays the patriarch in the show. It has been heard that he has given his notice period to the production house and apparently will not be seen from next month. When contacted the actor said, “I am in Simla and you can call me on 10th for the same.”

Rohini who plays grandmother to the four daughters in the show will reportedly be replaced by Nayan Bhatt, who is currently seen essaying the role of mother to Om (Kiran Karmarkar) and Kamal (Ali Asghar) in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Rohini has been part of the show from the beginning.

When contacted, Rohini confirmed the news and said, “Yesterday was the last day of my shoot and I have quit the show purely for personal reasons.”

Nayan Bhatt too confirmed that she has been approached for the show but hasn’t yet signed on the dotted line. She said, “I have been approached by the channel but I haven’t signed the papers as yet. I can confirm it only after two days.”

Another source from the show says, “Nayan had appeared for the look test and most probably she will be finalised in a day or two. The production house hasn’t approached any other actor for the role.”

Mandar, EP of Betiyaan said, “I have no clue why Rohini ji has quit the show. Also I don’t know if Yatin Karyekar has given his notice to the production house. As far as Rohini ji’s replacement is concerned we are still deciding on it.”

With so many actors opting out of the show we wonder how many from the original cast will remain when the curtains come down on the show.
