Remote Control Season 2 airs from today

The story of the effervescent Babulnath family takes a new spin in the Season 2 of Remote Control the latest bi-weekly on 9X. This season of the show will see the Babulnath family succumb to the wants which have exceeded their needs. After living in the chawl for many decades the family will now be displaced to a plush bungalow in a posh area, a house that marks all the luxuries and comfort. Season 2 of this comic caper is all about what happens when a television channel enters the life of the Babulnath Family and starts taking over the decisions of their lives.

The show will feature Supriya Pathak, Deven Bhojani, Mansi Parekh and Jay Soni from the first season and an added attraction as Benaf Dadachandji. Remote Control is the story of the life of the Babulnaths - Babul (Deven Bhojani), Baari (Supriya Pathak), Bunty (Jai Soni), Bubbly (Mansi Parekh) whose remote is controlled by the television channel headed by Vasu (Sooraj Thapar) and Rajni (Benaf Dadachandji).

Speaking of the show Supriya Pathak said,“The concept of the show is really nice and the content is excellent. It’s just the kind of serial I would like to sit back and enjoy as a viewer. I play a really strong character that of a mother who has instilled the right values in her children. I can really relate to the character and that’s why I accepted it. “

Every member of the Babulnath family has his or her own dreams and aspirations that depend largely on money. Speaking about Remote Control JD Majethia, Hats off Productions said, “Remote control is a humorous satire on how money corrupts us and makes our needs exceed our wants. It’s about how we have lost the earlier simplicity of our peaceful lifestyle and now only want expensive products however there is still a effort made by parents to keep the morals and value system alive.”
