Banoo Main Teri Dulhann has always been mired in controversies for some or the other reasons. Firstly, it was the actors of the show who didn’t get along with each other. Secondly, the plummeting TRPs put a question mark on the future of the show. As reported earlier by Tellychakkar Dulhann was almost booted out but Zee took a U-turn and altered its decision. And Dulhann got a breather. But the show is once again in trouble.

According to a source, “Though we are hearing that the show has got an extension of six months but the future of the show still hangs in a balance. Sharad Malhotra aka Sagar has bagged a plum project in Bollywood and has his dates blocked starting 28 April and hence has expressed his inability to do the show. If Sharad doesn’t do the show we fear whether Divyanka will continue with the show.”

“And the major blow is that even Sindoora aka Kamya Punjabi isn’t too well. Doctors have advised her to take rest as work as she is completely exhausted. Also she wants to go the family way so a break is mandatory for her,” adds the source.

“It is already decided that Jhansi Ki Rani will replace Dulhann. But the unit of Jhansi.. is finding it difficult to meet the deadline. They manage to shoot only one episode in 5 days. The show was slated to go on-air on 11 June but now it seems that the show will go on air only in August. And so Dulhann will continue till then,” reports our source.

When contacted Sharad Malhotra said, “This is news to me that I have bagged a Bollywood movie. I am still a part of Dulhann. Atleast for this month I am very much a part of the show.”

But producer Shyamasis Bhattacharya confirmed our news and said, “Yes, Sharad has informed me about his inability to do the show. He has some other commitments and thus wouldn’t be able to continue with the show.”

So will they replace the actor? “Sharad is a very fine talent and I don’t think you can replace a good actor. We will strike off the character from the show for the time being.”

Talking about Kamya, Shyamasis said, “Kamya Punjabi is not well. She is running temperature and can’t give enough time to the shoot but she is no ways going to quit television.”

And as fans gear up for a last dekko of their favourite star wonder how the show will progress post Sharad’s departure.
