News of Koena Mitra entering into Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 as a wild card entrant evoked mixed reactions from her colleagues. Some said it was unfair while others had no objection to it. However, it looks like that the Koena factor is completely nullified with news coming in that the actress was never really part of the competition.

A little birdie from the sets informs, “In the last shoot, Koena was introduced as the wild card entrant. She performed and even scored 30 points from the judges. However, it is later revealed that this was just an April fool joke. So, Koena isn’t a contestant but this was just a prank.”

Meanwhile, there’s another school of thought which says that Koena was merely called up so as to improve the competition.

“From what I’ve learnt, it wasn’t any prank but the channel felt that the current lot isn’t quite up to the mark. Thus they called Koena so that after watching her, other contestants pull up their socks,” said another source.

We called a few contestants but they refused to comment. Judge Saroj Khan maintained that Koena is a contestant.

Apparently, one is likely to believe that Koena could just be a guest performer since her choreographer Himanshu is said to be aligning with Gauhar Khan, whose choreographer Hanif Hilal had to quit through injury.
