Mogre Case Files starring Parakh
Madan which was announced amidst much fan fare has been axed
barely after two and half months of its launch. The show had aired just two stories
before being pulled off. Intially, when the show took off, it was decided that
each story would run for 8-9 episodes but then the channel decided to cut down
the episodes to two. But the show ended before the change happened. Informs an industry source, “The show took off well and got rave reviews
for its second story which had Sudhanshu Pandey as the antagonist. But the channel
decided to pull it off. With what I have come to know Beyond Dreams is no longer
producing the show. It is also being heard that the channel may transfer the production
rights of the show to some other production house.” “This is the
second show on Zee after Maa
that will be pulled off in such a short span. The channel has not informed the
production house formally but they are not shooting the show anymore The last
episode aired on 21 March,” concludes our source. When contacted
Parakh Madan confirmed the news and said, “Yes, the show has ended. I think there
were certain differences between the channel and the production house which couldn’t
be sorted. Our last story got a good response so it came as a rude shock when
it was announced that we need not shoot any more. ” When asked if
a new production house will now produce the same show, Parakh said, “I don’t know
exactly but even I am hearing such rumours.” Both Ajay Bhalwankar,
Programming Head Zee and producer Yash Patnaik remained unavailable for comment.
