It’s
been barely few days that Apara
Mehta arrived in the country
but she’s
back on television again. Nupur
Alankar is another actress who
returns to the small screen. The two seasoned
actress will be seen in Star Plus show Raja
Ki Aayegi Baraat. Apara and
Nupur essay the characters of Jhumki and
Thumki respectively.
Says producer Rashmi Sharma, “Apara and
Nupur are going to make a cameo appearance
in the show. They are going to play Jhumki
and Thumki in the show. They play bua
to Shishodia Rajvansh. They are fun-loving
but negative characters who have come to
the rajmahal with a purpose. Their
entry will result in some drama which will
be revealed later in the show.”
When
contacted Nupur Alankar confirmed the news
and said, “Along with Apara ji, I
am entering in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat.
This is a five-month long cameo. We’re playing
negative roles. We may appear to be dumb
but people will be shocked to see our true
colours. Nobody knows about our true identity.”
“This character reminds me of Halki-Phulki
bua of Betiyann. Jhumki and Thumki
are the tadka factor of the show.
So, after playing a mother in Rubi and Chand
Ke Paar Chalo, I am back to what I love
doing the most. I am happy to be a part
of a Star Plus show”, concludes the actress.
Apara Mehta remained unavailable for comment.
Their entry is expected to air on Wednesday,
8 April at 8:00 PM on Star Plus.
