I eat 5-6 aloo parathas daily – Karan Hukku

Karan Hukku who plays Nikhil in Ghar ki lakshmi betiyann may not be fussy about food but can whip up a mean French omelette. Read on as he shares his food preferences and a special recipe.

Is food the elixir of life? Yes, it is.

Are you a foodie? I am a complete foodie.

Are you a veg or non-veg? Hardcore non –vegetarian

Favourite cuisine: I love Japanese and Thai cuisine a lot

Favourite dish: Sushi

Favourite restaurant: Wasabi at Taj Mahal Palace.

A must at my breakfast table… Aloo ke Parathe . I eat 5-6 parathas daily.

Sugar or sugarfree for my tea/coffee… Tea with sugar

Lunch generally consists of… Roti, rice, sabzi and dal

For high tea I have… Burgers. Sometimes I eat something from KFC or else I opt for milkshakes.

Dinner generally consists of… I prefer going out for dinner where I mostly have pizzas , pastas and salads.

Dessert delights… Chocolate, gulab jamun

One thing I can’t resist… Chocolates. I just love them

My favourtie drink (non-alcoholic)... Lassi, chaas, nimbu paani, cappuccino

My favourite drink (alcoholic)… I don’t drink

For a date I usually prefer… It will depend on my partner.

At parties, I usually eat… I am not really a party eating person. I prefer not to eat at parties unless the food is very good and tempting.

Experiment with food? I have often experimented with food but the most memorable one was in Thailand when I had a snake cutlet. It was yummy.

Most unusual dish I’ve tasted… I am not fussy about food. I eat everything and there is no unusual dish that I have tasted so far.

On the streets, I love to have… Dahi puri and Paani Puri

One place I would never eat again… Basilico - in Bandra

Do you cook? Yes, I can cook.

Your favourite recipe... French Omelette

Ingredients: - 2 egg whites
1 tea spoon olive oil
½ onion finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
Salt to taste
1 slice of cheese (grilled)
2-3 button mushrooms chopped
Sausages (Optional)

Method: - Beat egg whites with salt at least for 15 – 20 minutes so that it becomes fluffy. In a pan heat olive oil put egg whites and cook for 2 minutes. After that without turning put grilled cheese, tomato, onion and mushrooms and cook for another 2 min on low flame. Turn the egg and let the other side cook well. Now your French omlette is ready. Serve hot with brown bread or multi grain bread.

Note: - If you wish to add sausages add them with mushrooms, tomato, cheese, and onion
