He had promised to field candidates from Mumbai and Jaspal Bhatti has lived up to its word. Bhatti has roped in none other than legendary comedian Johnny Lever as one of the candidates from Mumbai.

Along with Lever, Bhatti announced the names of five comedians who will represent his Recession party at the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. They include Rakesh Bedi (North central) , Vivek Shauq (North east), Ehsaan Qureshi (North West) , Rajesh Puri (Mumbai North) and Raja Rancho (Mumbai South Central). Lever will contest from the Mumbai South constituency.

Lever stated that it’s the same public who elected the current lot of politicians, who are far worse than them. Thus he sees no reason why the public won’t vote for him and his party members.

Well, before you start thinking of lending your support to Bhatti and his men, we’d like to inform you that Recession Party is still to file it’s nomination with the Election Commission.
