Star Pravah is all set to launch three brand new shows titled Char Chaughi, Daar Ughada Na Gade and Jodi Jamli Re. Daar Ughada Na Gade will start airing from 23 February from Monday to Tuesday at 10:30 p.m., Jodi Jamli Re will air from 5 March every Thursday and Friday at 10:00 p.m. and Char Chaughi from 9 March from Monday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Daar Ughada Na Gade is a comedy show wherein three doors hold the key to various stories promising surprise entries throughout the show. The show begins with a comic preamable and sets up the context, wherein the male and female anchor pair plays a prominent role in all the situations. The male anchor played by the popular Pushkar Shrotri plays the role of a henpecked husband and the female anchor played by the dazzling Atisha Naik plays the role of a nagging wife. Every story is a take – off from the couple’s quarrel, patch –up, frustration, fantasies, etc. Every new character which enters through a new door creates exciting and comical twists in the story. The three doors promises surprise by the stalwarts of the Marathi Entertainment Industry includes Bharat Dabholkar, Prashant Damle, Makrand Anaspure, Atul Parchure, Nirmitee Sawant, Makrand Deshpande, Vijay Kadam and Vinay Yedekar. The show is directed by renowned director Shrirang Godbole.

Jodi Jamli Re the first – of – its – kind match making reality show in the Marathi GEC. This reality show is directed by Shriprasad Kshirsagar and hosted by Kavita Ladh and Atul Parchure. This show is a game show about testing compatibility to meet your right partner. Three boys and three girls play interactive games and take compatibility tests; with the help of their parents, matrimony advisors, astrologers and numerologists. At the and of all this, the most compatible match is declared as the best jodi.

Char Chaughi is a story of four sisters – Iravati, Gargi, Devika and Bilwa. The show is about their desires, dreams and above all their destinies that keep them together in joys and in sorrows. The show is produced by Camsclub and is directed by Girish Vasaikar. The show features renowned faces like Neelam Shirke and Sunila Karmebalkar in the leading roles.

With the rather lukewarm response that the channel’s flagship show Raja Shiv Chatrapati has received we hope that the new shows strike the right chord with the audience.
