In an attempt to provide fresh content in its afternoon segment, Star Plus plans to launch three new shows in March 2009 — Phool Kamaal Ke, Shradhha and Star Vivah.

Speaking on their latest offerings in the afternoon time slot, Keertan Adhyanthaya, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Star India Pvt. Ltd said, "The afternoons on Star Plus have been exciting, engaging and have done exceedingly well; and we continue to offer our viewers some distinctive storylines and characters that they can relate to. With the launch of Phool Kamaal Ke, Shradhha and Star Vivah, we attempt to take a leap ahead in strengthening our afternoon slot."

Shraddha is the story of a girl who is devoted to her parents and is the modern day rendering of the mythological Shravan Kumar. Phool Kamaal Ke is an eternal love story transcending barriers of social standing (does that sound unique?). And as reported earlier by Tellychakkar, Star Vivaah is a matrimonial show where the channel and the popular matrimonial site shaadi.com will try to help people find their soul mates.

With the only channel to air fresh content in the afternoon band this new line up will only add to their ratings. But only till some other GEC launches its afternoon band.
