Veteran actor Kanwaljeet Singh is all set to make his comeback with Endemol’s fiction show tentatively titled Laado on Star Plus. The actor was last seen in Sony’s Aisa Des Hai Mera and DD’s Ashique Biwi Ka.

A source from the production house informs, “Our show tentatively titled Laado is about a 16- year- old girl. This is about a family which comprises of a husband and wife, their three sons and a daughter. Veteran actor Kanwaljeet Singh plays the patriarch Lahori who is a Punjabi. The daughter is named Laado and she is pampered by one and all in the family.”

“Laado’s role will be essayed by newcomer Shivshakti. The three sons Ashok, Daljeet, Omi will be played by Pankaj, Vineet and Siddharth all rather new faces. Vandana will play the role of the bua (Kanwaljeet Singh’s sister). The show will showcase the different phases of Laado’s life. In all probability this is a prime time show daily show and is expected to launch in March just before the IPL,” adds our source.

Kanwaljeet Singh refrained from commenting and directed us to speak to Endemol.
