This Valentine’s Day Karan Mehra and Asmit Kaushik can buy each other a drink. Well, they haven’t endured any heartache but yet they share something in common.

Karan missed out on a plum opportunity because he was considered too young to play the role of Vicky in Vicky Ki Taxi. In Asmit’s case, the poor chap did get his big break but few months into the job, he was relieved from his duty because his employers felt that he looked too young in comparison to his on-screen bride.

“I was offered Vicky Ki Taxi during the final days of Pari Hoon Main. I liked the concept and gave my nod for it. However, thereafter I didn’t hear from them for a long time As it happens in our industry, once this happens you must assume that you’ve missed the boat. Several months later, I learnt they wanted an older guy to play Vicky. Finally, it was Pawan Shankar who bagged this role,” said Karan.
