Karan Mehra’s phone hasn’t stopped ringing. The actor has been busy answering calls from scribes rubbishing rumours of his marriage to childhood sweetheart Devika Mehta.

Rumours of Karan’s marriage spread like fire when Karan’s close pal Jay Soni wrote on a social networking site that he got the shock of his life when Karan Mehra informed him about his sudden marriage on Valentine’s Day.

Scoffing at these tales, Karan says, “It was a joke but Jay Soni took it to be true. We all know Jay is a kid. I paid a surprise visit to Devika on Valentine’s Day. I bought her an expensive diamond ring. It was the day when we had our families and friends together. We, merely exchanges rings. You can say that it was an impromptu engagement. I was ‘married’ to Devika ten years back when we were in school. The official marriage is some time away and you’ll be the first person to know when it takes place.”
