Raju Srivastav to contest Lok Sabha polls

Raju Srivastav joins politics. Now that’s not joke. The ace comedian has offered a ticket from both Samajwadi Party and the Congress.

Speaking to PTI, Raju said, “Congress and Samajwadi Party have offered me to contest the Lok Sabha elections on their ticket. But as Congress' offer came first, I am considering it."

Raju though is still contemplating on the offers and if he decides to enter the polls then he would want to contest from Allahabad. Raju, who hails from Kanpur, had recently been told by Maharashtra Congress chief Kripashankar Singh that his wish to contest from Allahabad will be conveyed to the party president Sonia Gandhi.

Apart from Raju Srivastav, Congress is also keen on roping in actor Ravi Kissen. Well, it’s too early to say whether he will succeed as a politician but trust Raju to amuse his party and above all the junta.
