Bhaichung Bhutia, Indian football's poster boy, is all set to take centre stage on a totally different ground. He is the latest entrant on Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa 3– the 12th participant. Since the beginning, the show has seen many replacements. First, boxer Vijendra Singh was replaced by Kamaal R. Khan. And now, Bhaichung will be replacing Kamaal R. Khan.

Speaking to Tellychakkar, a channel spokesperson confirmed the news of Bhaichung's entry, but refuted the claim that he is replacing Kamaal R. Khan. "I don't know where that news came from", said the spokesperson. "We had only 11 participants, and Bhaichung has come in as the 12th. He is not replacing anyone."

Bhaichung hardly needs any introduction. The captain of the Indian football team and a player for Mohun Bagan, he has, over the years, achieved icon status. He might have faced tough opponents on the football field, but on the show, he is pitted against Gauhar Khan, Bhagyashree, Karan Singh Grover, Monica Bedi, Hard Kaur, and Ram Kapoor.

Bhaichung will match moves with choreographer Sonia Jaffer.
