Ali Merchant is on a high ever since he entered Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Rituraj. The actor has got an overwhelming response for his portrayal of the character so much so that the public is now requesting to make him the lead of the show.

Says the excited actor, "My cameo in the show has been appreciated by the viewers and I am receiving an overwhelming response for the same. Infact, people have been writing to the channel to retain me as the main lead opposite the actress. I just hope to work with Rajan Sir all over again."
