Popular television actor Rushad Rana has just completed shooting in Nagesh Kukonoor's latest film Tasveer. The film is a thriller and Rushad has worked with Akshay Kumar, Ayesha Takia, Benjamin Gilani, Sharmila Tagore and Javed Jaffrey.

"Filmmakers, even today, are a bit apprehensive about casting television actors. I am happy that I have been chosen for such a big banner film. But this is not my first film with Nagesh. I have worked with him in Dor earlier. I have also done films like Veer Zara, Mr Ya Miss, Joggers Park. I hope through my performances I have been, and will be, able to prove that we can also deliver," says the actor known for his roles in hugely successful shows like Hip Hip Hurray, Kehta Hai Dil and Bombay Lawyers. In fact, his role in Hip Hip Hurray -- Captain Raghav -- won him many fans across the country.

"I am having a great time working with so many senior actors in Tasveer. I am playing a character called Adit who is a close friend of Akshay Kumar and his parents (Sharmila Tagore and Benjamin Gilani)." Did Akshay share any fitness mantra with Rushad? The actor smiles and says, "Not really! I found him to be a very jovial person who spread positive vibes on the set whenever he arrived."

Rushad is also busy in shooting for a film called Yeh Faisle with Anupam Kher and newcomer Tina Desai. Does that mean he is bidding adieu to television? "Not at all! I am really looking forward to anchoring a travel-based show or any other reality show," says Rushad who was last seen in Yahan Ke Hum Sikandar on Zee Next last year.
