Cameo appearances are regularly used in soaps to introduce the latest twists to an existing track. But with Bidaai it’s different. Rajan Shahi has introduced over 20 cameos in the show at different stages of the story; the most important was the one played by Hema Malini.

It’s now time for another cameo. The honeymoon sequence of Ragini and Ranbir Rajvansh (Parul Chauhan and Kinshuk Mahajan) has recently been shot in Kerala with the entire cast. The sequence will also have Payal Nair and Anupam Bhattacharya as a couple from Kerala.

Anupam, who plays Madhavan says, “Payal and I are playing the role of a South Indian couple (from Kerala) who help Alekh find his family. I am playing Madhavan and Payal is playing Gayatri. Alekh is lost in Kerala and his wife and brother are worried about him. At such a time, this South Indian couple come to his rescue. They not only help him re-unite with his family but also take utmost care of him. In a way, we are trying to project the ever-welcoming and warm culture of South India.”

Payal and Anupam incidentally are also seen in a play called Astha, where Anupam plays the central character.

Their cameo in Bidaai will last for three episodes and is expected to air on March 2 at 9:00 PM.
