Is
food the elixir of life?
It’s much more than that. People eat
to live but I live to eat.
Are you a foodie?
Completely
Are you a veg
or non-veg? Both but I prefer
to eat more of veg
Favourite cuisine:
Mughlai, Punjabi. I’m Maharashtrian at heart
but a Punjabi by stomach
Favourite dish:
Ukadi che (Boiled rice) modak.
Favourite restaurant:
Dara da dhaba. It’s located on the
outskirts of Dahisar.
A must at my breakfast
table… Butter.
Sugar or sugarfree
for my tea/coffee… sugar.
Lunch generally
consists of… Rice, dal,
vegetable and chapattis. For non-veg,
I prefer butter chicken. Crabs are reserved
for leisure days.
For high tea I
have… Anything that’s fattening.
These days it’s burgers.
Dinner generally
consists of… Soup but of late
my diet has gone for a toss.
Dessert delights…
Chocolate brownie, honey fried noodles with
ice cream
One thing I can’t
resist… Jeera rice and
Dal tadka fry.
My favourtie drink
(non-alcoholic)… Fresh lime juice
My favourite drink
(alcoholic)… I don’t drink.
For a date I usually
prefer… What the girl wants.
At parties, I
usually eat… Nothing. I don’t
eat when I’m surrounded by 50 people
Experiment with
food? Recently, I tried sushi.
Most unusual dish
I’ve tasted… Horse meat in South
Africa. That was the first and last time
I had it.
On the streets,
I love to have… Vada Pav.
One place I would
never eat again… I wouldn’t name
anyone because as a foodie I respect all
those who are in the food business.
Do you cook?
No, but I have my exclusive recipes.
Your favourite
recipe... Special (fillet) boiled
eggs
Create a hole in an egg make sure you don’t
break the shell.
Take out the yolk and mix it with finely
shredded onions, vegetable or chicken/ meat
Very skillfully put the mixture back in
the shell
Coat the shell with little bit of flour
and put to freeze
Then bring it to boil
Open the shell in front of your guests
Bon appétit!
