Television’s export to Bollywood Sonal Sehgal didn’t have a great start to her Bollywood career with her film Aashayein failing to take off the blocks. She needn’t lose heart as Sonal has been picked to star opposite singer, actor Himesh Reshammiya in Ishq Unplugged.

When contacted, Sonal merely agreed to being part of this project. Prior to this film Sonal was seen in a minor role in Ghajini.

Ishq Unplugged marks the Bollywood directorial debut of Swapna Waghmare Joshi, who’s made a career in directing television shows.

Swapna confirmed to us that she’ll be directing her first Bollywood film with Ishq Unplugged. Swapna had directed one of Sonal’s show - Hotel Kingston.
