Deeya
Chopra is back in action! And she is confident
that her fans will be happy to see her in
this new avatar."It is a very
interesting role that I am playing. Though
I had to wait for more than six months after
Left Right Left went off air, I think
it was worth the wait," says Deeya
who is playing a character called Loveleen
in the new channel Real's show Hindi
Hai Hum. The serial is being produced
by Swastik Pictures.
What
is so special about the role? Ask this and
Deeya will respond, "Loveleen is a
hep South Mumbai girl who is married to
a small town boy, played by Puneet Panjwani."
Deeya is also very excited about her entry
scene. "I enter the show in the 5th
episode and the entire sequence has been
shot in a very interesting fashion. Would
not like to describe it now because that
will disturb the suspense! Wait for a few
more days," says the pretty actress.
In the serial, Deeya's and the main protagonist
Ridhhi Dogra's tracks will go on simultaniously,
since Deeya is married to Ridhhi's brother.
"The role shows different shades of
Loveleen. There are many funny moments between
me and Puneet as husband and wife as his
character is that of a very docile guy,
whereas I am just opposite to him!"
How did she bag this role? "When Sidharth
from Swastik Pictures called me for this,
he specifically mentioned that Loveleen's
character is very classy and I need to be
very cautious about my body language. I
agreed to take on the challenge and we started
shooting just after a day after our meeting!
That is how I got the role," explains
Deeya.
Is she also keen on doing films? "Well...if
the role is good why not. But I am not amongst
those who will do a film just for the sake
of seeing myself in the big screen. If I
get a call from Vikram Bhatt (her sister
Roshni is working in his film Pher)
and if the role is good I will definitely
do films," smiles Deeya.
